YouthHub is a new and modern youth center based in Erbil, with a long-term vision to expand across the Kurdistan Region and Iraq. The hub offers a range of rentable spaces, including podcast studios, conference halls, dialogue zones, computer labs, and outdoor event areas. Subscribed users can also visit the facility and access a vast physical library filled with books across various topics.
The Problem
YouthHub wanted to modernize the traditional library experience by removing manual processes and long check-in/out times. Managing a growing library collection while keeping track of book availability, user access, and physical inventory posed a significant challenge—especially with their expected expansion and high user traffic. They also needed a way to securely and accurately manage user access to the building and ensure library operations ran smoothly with minimal human intervention.
The Solution
Ovanya developed an end-to-end library management system using state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks. The platform allows users to check into YouthHub by scanning a personalized QR code from the mobile app. Within the library, the system supports automatic check-in and check-out of books using RFID tags and integrated RFID readers, drastically improving efficiency and accuracy. In addition to software development, Ovanya also procured and deployed the necessary RFID hardware—ranging from handheld readers to anti-theft gates—making day-to-day operations seamless for staff and users alike. We worked closely with YouthHub’s team from the initial planning and design stages through to implementation and deployment. Ovanya continues to maintain the system post-launch, ensuring optimal performance, secure servers, minimal downtime, and ongoing feature enhancements as YouthHub grows and scales.
